Sweet Sherman is the perfect combination of little dog spunk and lap dog cuddliness. Sherman seems to get along great with everyone in his foster home including an 8 month old baby--letting her pull and tug at his fur without so much as a yip of protest. He is house-broken, crate trained, and sleeps wherever you set him; although he prefers to sleep curled up next to his foster mom.

He does have a couple of habits that should clear up quickly with training as he appears to be a fast learner. He nibbles on shoes if you leave him along for long periods of time in the house, but stops immediately if you catch him in the act. Although he can hold his bladder for 12 hours at a time, he does have a quirky habit of peeing when approached rapidly or picked up too quickly. This should resolve as his comfort level with his new surroundings improves.

His favorite activities are snuggling up with his foster mom on the sofa, eating treats, and playing wrestle with his foster brother Max, a small terrier mix. A gentle-walker on the leash, he doesn’t pull and tug like many small dogs and rarely barks.
